I recently stayed at Dream House for a few days and it was absolutely delightful. The hotel is located in a quiet area just a short walk from the beach. The beautiful architecture and rustic furniture give it a unique charm. The rooms are spacious and clean, with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden. The food served at the hotel is outstanding, with a mix of authentic Sri Lankan and incredible Italian cuisine. The hospitality of the staff, especially Piyal, was exceptional. He made us feel incredibly welcome and even arranged a whale watching excursion for us. Highly recommended!
I do recommend this hotel.

Everything about this charming old colonial home was delightful. The staff was very friendly, always welcoming us with a warm smile. We especially loved the location, just a short walk away from the beach but tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. Our room had a cute balcony that overlooked a wonderful garden surrounded by all sorts of adorable animals. Breakfast was amazing, we could customize our eggs and enjoyed a great cup of coffee every day.
The wifi was a bit slow, and the laundry service was not on-site, which meant taking a short walk to the neighbor's place to get clothes washed. While the interior decor was not exactly our taste, it wasn't a deal-breaker, as the hotel had a lovely historic feel to it.

The hotel has a charming rustic vibe and is located in a peaceful area close to the bustling part of town. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the food served in the restaurant is delicious. Some rooms come with air conditioning, which is a nice feature for hot weather.
The cleaning of the rooms and common areas could be improved.

The hotel had a nice location and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms were clean and spacious and the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel also had a nice garden and a beautiful colonial style. We also enjoyed the Italian kitchen they had.
The shower pressure was low and the noise from the animals in the morning was not pleasant and made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. It was also quite far from the main attractions, so transportation was needed.

We had a great time at this hotel. The staff was always attentive and made sure to light anti-mosquito incense and candles. The hotel had a calm and serene atmosphere which made it a great place to hang out and read a book. We were impressed with the hotel's cleanliness and facilities, especially the beautiful colonial house that was tastefully decorated with authentic art and antique furniture. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, including toast, eggs, fruit, yogurt. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay even better.
Nothing is perfect.

Rooms with a seating area, so you can really relax and unwind after a long day. Private bathrooms with a bathtub, perfect for a nice, relaxing soak. Triple rooms with balconies, giving you a beautiful view and a chance to enjoy the fresh air. Bathrobes provided, making you feel like a king or queen during your stay. Double rooms with soundproofing, ensuring a peaceful and quiet night's sleep.
Some may find the view from the double rooms lacking, but it's a matter of personal preference.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. the location was perfect - just a short walk away from the beach, but still on a quieter street. This allowed me to enjoy the beach whenever I wanted, while still being able to retreat to a peaceful environment. Additionally, the staff at the hotel were incredibly attentive and kind. The room I stayed in was really cozy, with a comfortable bed and a cute balcony overlooking the inner garden. The air conditioning was a definite plus, keeping the room cool during the warmer days. Lastly, the breakfast included in my stay was delicious. I especially loved the freshly toasted bread, fried eggs, and the amazing jam and fresh fruits. I had a fantastic experience at this hotel and would highly recommend it to others. Everything about my stay was perfect, and I wouldn't hesitate to return in the future.
